Did you know?

Warm, cooked meals can be easier to digest than cold or raw options, particularly later in the day, which can help your body wind down more effectively.

At the same time, nutrients like iron and B vitamins play a key role in energy production and brain function — meaning meals like this support both physical recovery and mental clarity.
Which means it’s not just dinner. It’s recovery on a plate.

Ingredients

  • 300–400g beef mince
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 head broccoli (chopped)
  • 1–2 carrots (sliced)
  • 2 spring onions (for serving)
  • Sesame seeds (for serving)
  • Rice (for serving)

For the sauce

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • ¼ cup water

Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add beef mince and cook, breaking it up, until browned and cooked through.
  2. Add garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add broccoli and carrot (or any vegetables you like) and cook for 3–5 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  4. In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients until combined.
  5. Pour the sauce into the pan and stir well, allowing it to simmer for 2–3 minutes until everything is coated and slightly thickened.

To serve:

Serve with rice and top with spring onion and sesame seeds.

This one sticks.
